Our Story
Peekaboo Designs is a family operated, home-based business owned by Steve and Nathalie Carroll. We have been creating customized photo magnets online since 2001 and we are happy to say that we have happy customers from all over the world! Steve handles customer service, marketing and the technical side of the business while Nathalie handles the production side of Peekaboo Designs.
What sets us apart from our competition?
First, we’ve been creating custom photo magnets for over 8 years which has given us the experience to perfect our product beyond what other companies can provide. And since we are a small “Mom & Pop” shop, we can easily adapt to our customer’s needs. If you want something that isn’t on our site… just ask because we’ve probably made it before.
Secondly, our customer service is the best! Each Photo Magnet is custom made to your specifications. We listen closely to your specifics to create a Photo Magnet that is truly unique and personalized. And we won’t print your Photo Magnets until you are happy with the design (and yes we always provide free proofs!).
And last but not least, we don’t nickel and dime you over every little request. What that means is we don’t charge an extra set-up fee like some of our competitors, we don’t charge extra for red-eye removal or minor photo touch-ups. We don’t even charge extra to scan your photos. Why don’t we charge you extra for all this stuff when our competitors do? The honest answer is that we make enough money with what we charge you and we’d rather turn you into a lifetime customer.

After I had my son, Evan, I really didn’t want to go back to work full-time, yet I needed an additional source of income in addition to my husband’s salary. My husband and I designed our son’s birth announcement, and everyone liked it so much that we decided it might be a neat idea to create custom birth announcements for other parents. We began to experiment with magnetic birth announcements, trying different magnetic sheeting thicknesses and substrates until we got the quality we wanted. Thus began Peekaboo Designs.
Three years later and Peekaboo Designs is still going strong. Averaging over 350,000 visitors each year, we’re now getting many repeat customers and also new customers from overseas. We’ve added exciting new products like our Photo Magnet Greeting Cards and Photo Calendar Magnets
and continue to expand and improve on our unique line of custom photo magnet products.
On June 29, 2003, Nathalie gave birth to Emily Madison. Emily was born at 3:06am, weighing 7 pounds, 14 ounces and she was 20 3/4 inches long. We even designed a new birth announcement to celebrate the arrival our our Emily.
